Avant Chamber Ballet cavorts in ‘Carnival of Animals’ at Richardson’s Eisemann Center

RICHARDSON — Of all the little ballet companies popping up around North Texas, Avant Chamber Ballet has garnered the most attention. Credit its breeding and use of live chamber music. Music director David Cooper is principal horn for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Artistic director Katie Puder danced for years with Arlington’s well-respected Metropolitan Classical Ballet. Under their guidance, Avant displays a discipline difficult to achieve in underfunded and often underrehearsed small troupes.
